The porch on my historic house was closed in and I want to open back up. What’s the best way to determine what size it was originally?

We are fortunate here in the Tampa Bay area because a lot of this area was mapped in the past by the Sanborn Fire Insurance Company. Copies of these maps are in our local libraries. The City of Tampa’s Historic Preservation Division, John German Library in downtown Tampa and the library in the Seminole Heights neighborhood, to name a few public locations where there are wonderful collections of these maps, as well as other area libraries.
